Director, Sales & Strategic Growth

BrandTotal is the industry-leading solution for real-time competitive intelligence across social and digital channels, working with enterprise brands across verticals. We are seeking a smart, energetic and competitive Director of Sales & Strategic Growth to join our team.

In this role, you’ll be directly responsible for sourcing and growing BrandTotal’s Monthly Recurring Revenue and adding new accounts to the BrandTotal client roster. In this role, you’ll obsess over finding our future customers and driving/closing opportunities to achieve breakout revenue growth. You will be a key contributor in creating a fun, energetic and financially successful growth culture, leading by example.

This is a direct sales contributor role and in this role, you will work with some of the world’s most known advertisers. You will also seek dynamic brands that push the envelope of modern marketing technology, customer engagement, performance marketing, and brand engagement.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Locate and develop new business opportunities by prospecting/researching/sourcing new opportunities and then communicating with and visiting prospects and clients to drive opportunities down funnel to close
  • Serve as trusted advisor and industry expert on “Agile Marketing” and marketing trends in the digital marketing and creative fields
  • Accurately assess and communicate pipeline and revenue forecasts
  • Partner closely with BrandTotal’s Global Head of Growth and the BrandTotal leadership team on new initiatives, projects, and opportunities for revenue growth
  • Actively assess and improve current sales tools, presentation materials, sales collateral, playbooks, pitches, messaging, etc.
  • Collaborate with both technical colleagues and company executives
  • Provide useful, regular feedback to our engineering and product teams based on customer input and your insight; actively partner with these teams to enhance our technology and services

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Successful previous experience (5+ years) as a sales manager/director, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Experience at an early to mid-stage startup  
  • Background in media and/or marketing technologies - deep understanding of how consumer & marketing data functions within enterprise, including deep experience in the marketing, advertising, digital or creative space
  • Experience with Salesforce.com
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills; ability to negotiate and build strong business relationships internally and externally
  • Proven aptitude for managing pipelines, forecasting, territory planning, weekly updates, and sales KPIs
  • Strong collaborative skills with the ability to thrive in a startup environment
  • Demonstrates strong planning and organizational skills
  • Demonstrates strong initiative and don’t wait to be told what needs to be done to achieve your goals
  • Outstanding track record of consistently meeting/exceeding revenue closing quotas
  • Excellent track record of successfully leading or co-managing sales meetings with C-level executives
  • Up to 30% traveling

Social Media Reporting Analyst

Using the BrandTotal platform, the Social Media Reporting Analyst will turn social data into insights and package them into meaningful executive-level presentations for Media, Strategy & Insights, Analytics and Brand Marketing teams on both an ad hoc and ongoing basis. This person will have the opportunity to work collaboratively across our Customer Success and Data Intelligence teams in order to drive value for our clients to support growth and retention.

Since this person will be a power user of the BrandTotal platform, they will have the opportunity to work with product and support decisions around product innovation, and be instrumental in bringing the voice of the customer into our Product, Marking and Sales teams.

Primary Responsibilities

  • > Become an expert and power user of BrandTotal platform
  • > Support Customer Success Managers in scoping out report deliverables to support clients’ business needs related to competitive intelligence
  • > Work with Data Intelligence team to translate client scope into a BrandTotal data request
  • > Execute report deliverables, turning BrandTotal data into consumable insights for clients
  • > Prepare and deliver both ongoing reports (i.e. Quarterly Competitive Analysis) and ad hoc requests (e.g. Campaign Performance deep dive)
  • > Leverage current reporting templates and provide recommendations for improving
  • > Manage workload in order to meet deadlines and ensure exceptional communication of progress, challenges, and deadlines
  • > Support Customer Success Managers in addressing client questions and feedback as it relates to reporting


Qualifications & Skills

  • > 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • > General knowledge of social media landscape in terms of platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)  and emerging trends
  • > Ability to be agile, while still meeting deadlines
  • > A PowerPoint and Excel expert, with a passion for telling a story through data
  • > A problem solver, with the ability to clearly communicate challenges, and proactively recommend solutions
  • > High attention to detail, ability to work with large datasets and QA as needed
  • > Experience with social media analytics with brand or agency is a plus
  • > Experience with Marketing SaaS platforms is a plus

Chief Operating Officer / General Manager

We are seeking a seasoned professional in marketing technologies and SaaS to oversee sales, marketing, client success, and operations. Position reports to the CEO and is based in NYC while overseeing our Tel Aviv office and remote employees in the UK.



Description + Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and cross-functional management to teams working in finance, marketing, partnerships, sales, client success, and operations; prioritizing organizational goals and strategic initiatives

• Grow, motivate and lead high-performing teams

• Establish and measure KPIs across teams and company-wide

• Help shape and demonstrate company values, vision, and culture

• Creating a performance-driven culture that attracts, retains and rewards talented individuals

• Build scalable processes across departments to maximize efficiencies for rapid growth

• Work closely with sales and client success teams for accurate forecasting of new revenue and retention

• Oversee the marketing team to ensure effective execution of branding, PR, and lead generation efforts

• Oversee company partnerships across sales, marketing, and product

• Coordinate feedback across sales, marketing, and client success teams to help with product and innovation roadmap and prioritization

• Prioritize, establish and manage relationships with partners and key customers

• Represent the company in speaking engagements at industry trade shows and events

• Work collaboratively with finance and across departments on building and managing towards annual and quarterly budgets

Requirements

• 10+ years of senior leadership experience in sales and/or operations with a proven track record of driving performance in individual functions and across departments

• Experience at an early to mid-stage startup

• Experience managing global team(s)

• Background in media and/or marketing technologies

• Experience managing sales teams to hit and exceed revenue goals and quotas

• Previous experience as a COO, CRO or relevant role a plus
