Director, Sales & Strategic Growth

BrandTotal is looking for a smart, energetic and competitive Director of Sales & Strategic Growth to join our team. In this role you’ll be directly responsible for growing BrandTotal’s Monthly Recurring Revenue and adding new accounts to the BrandTotal client roster.    

You’ll be joining a financially-strong, privately-held, venture backed MarTech company.  In this role, you’ll obsess over our future customers and over driving opportunities to achieve breakout revenue growth. Here's what your day will look like:

  • Consistently exceed established sales and revenue growth goals.
  • Locate and develop new business opportunities by sourcing, communicating with and visiting prospects and clients.
  • Ongoing account development, including client contact with all executive and managerial levels to uncover new opportunities and a prospect’s fit with BrandTotal solutions to support specific current and future client needs.
  • Serve as trusted advisor and industry expert to clients on “Agile Marketing” and marketing trends in the digital marketing and creative fields.
  • Personally become a top expert at selling BrandTotal, and coach your team to excellence, leading by example.
  • Accurately assess and communicate pipeline and revenue forecast.
  • Creatively solve problems with available resources to drive revenue growth
  • Partner closely with BrandTotal’s Global Head of Growth and the BrandTotal leadership team on new initiatives, projects and opportunities for revenue growth.
  • Actively assess and improve current sales tools, presentation materials, sales collateral, playbooks, pitches, messaging, etc...
  • Support junior reps by having them shadow your approach in customer meetings and frequent role play.
  • Serve as a confident and compelling presence to clients and junior BrandTotal representatives when visiting prospects and customers; insightfully determine when to observe vs. lead meetings, and actively assist in closing business as needed.
  • Lead and manage in a highly data-driven manner. Thoroughly understand key metrics and help the team excel by understanding performance.
  • Effectively identify the strengths and weaknesses of your team and coach appropriately.
  • Iterate constantly. Actively test new ideas and measure impact; adopt what works and change what does not.
  • Collaborate with both technical colleagues and company executives
  • Provide useful, regular feedback to our engineering and product teams based on customer input and your own insight; actively partner with these teams to enhance our technology and services.

Here’s what your career path could look like:

  • Sales Professionals can be promoted into Director-level Management, running either a industry vertical or regionally centric Sales / Growth team
  • Directors can eventually run their own teams as Managing Directors, after leading strong performing teams on either the sales or customer success side of the house
  • Managing Directors can move into Regional VP positions, after showing they can motivate a team to deliver for our clients and change the lives of our employees
  • Onward and Upward to the Executive Leadership team!

You’ll be very successful here if you:

  • Have strong leadership and influencing skills; ability to negotiate and build strong business relationships internally and externally.
  • Have a deep understanding of how consumer & marketing data functions within Enterprise, including deep experience in the marketing, advertising, digital or creative space
  • Proven aptitude for managing pipelines, forecasting, territory planning, weekly updates, and sales KPIs.
  • Have at least 7 years of relevant sales or revenue growth experience, preferably to senior-level executives and marketing decision makers
  • Have perfected the art of authentic “ice breaking”, opportunity identification and opportunity development
  • Have experience with Digitally Native - Direct to Consumer brands
  • Have strong collaborative skills with ability to thrive in a startup environment
  • Demonstrate strong planning and organizational skills
  • Have experience with Salesforce.com
  • Outstanding track record of consistently meeting / exceeding revenue generation quotas personally and as a sales leader.
  • Demonstrated ability to measurably improve sales rep performance via hands on coaching and management.
  • Excellent track record of successfully leading or co-managing sales meetings with C-level executives.

Customer Success Manager

You are passionate about Online Marketing, especially on Social Media, always updating yourself on the latest trends and tools. You drive post-sales customer success by promoting best practices, accelerating feature adoption, cultivating relationships, and helping customers discover our technology.

You can own the entire post-sales relationship, including onboarding, ongoing retention and upselling. Through ‘get-to-know-you’ calls, visits, email conversations and webinars with new and existing customers, you’ll build strong relationships that persist through (and lengthen) the life cycle of the customer. You’ll be the first point of contact for all of our customers, a friendly face that shepherds them to the solution of their problem.

As a technology firm, we’re obsessive about numbers and Online Marketing, and customer success plays a key role in delivering value to our customers. The customer success manager will identify and nurture upselling opportunities and be responsible for current MRR.

You’ll work closely with teams from across the organization, helping to advocate on behalf of our customers to all of our teams. You’ll be responsible for making everybody else aware of their challenges, needs and concerns, whether that’s providing input on a new feature for the product team or offering feedback on the latest campaign to the marketing team.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison to customers and key accounts.
  • Maintain an open dialogue to identify opportunities and ensure an exceptional customer experience.
  • Understand the customer’s organization and processes to maximize the value BrandTotal brings to them.
  • Create, nurture and drive internal initiatives to promote product adoption and customer satisfaction.
  • Create intelligence and insight reports to address specific problems faced by our clients. Conduct on-site and web-based presentations, product demonstrations and product onboarding sessions.
  • Take charge of new business and fully own the Customer Success implementation phase, which includes customer on-boarding, training and continued support
  • Participate in the sales lifecycle - bringing customer experience, use cases and insights to prospects - in collaboration with the Growth Team.
  • Provide constant feedback to product development team.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years client relations / management experience (at an executive Level: strong advantage).
  • Excellent communication skills, both internally and in managing long-term customer relationships
  • Excellent and proven command of digital marketing, with a concentration in social and display Media
  • Technical knowledge of how SaaS platforms operate and managed from a client retention perspective - an advantage
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proactive interest to increase customer satisfaction and deepen customer relationships.
  • Superb ability to handle multiple projects at once and prioritize.
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA an advantage.
  • Proficiency in English is a must,
